Hannam-dong in One Day: Art, Fashion and Design
Start at Leeum, then move downhill through Pace Gallery, LOEUVRE and MONOHA on a four-stop Hannam-dong route with current hours and realistic hill advice.

Hannam-dong works best as a one-way day: start at Leeum Museum of Art, then move through Pace Gallery, LOEUVRE and MONOHA toward Hannam Station. Allow about five to six hours including lunch. The sequence saves you from retracing the steep approach to Leeum, but it is not flat or fully step-free.
The simplest day for all four stops is Tuesday through Saturday. Leeum opens at 10:00; Pace now opens at 11:00 and closes on Sunday and Monday. Exhibition schedules and shop hours can change, so use the linked live pages again before setting out.
Route at a glance
- 1Leeum Museum of Art
- 2Pace Gallery Seoul
- 3LOEUVRE Hannam Flagship Store
- 4MONOHA HANNAM
- Order: Leeum Museum of Art → Pace Gallery Seoul → LOEUVRE Hannam Flagship Store → MONOHA HANNAM
- Total outing: About 5–6 hours with museum time, browsing and a flexible lunch
- Walking between stops: About 1.7 km · 27 minutes in the Naver Map check recorded August 10, 2026
- Best start: 10:00 at Leeum, Tuesday–Saturday
- Best for: A major museum, a current gallery show, Korean fashion and a quiet design finish
The map connects the stops in order; it is not a street-level account of Hannam's gradients. Use a live Korean map app for each leg. If the initial hill is a problem, take a taxi to Leeum's entrance and begin the walking route there.
1. Leeum Museum of Art — spend your freshest hours on the largest stop
Leeum earns the first and longest block. Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel and Rem Koolhaas designed the museum's distinct buildings, while M1 gives first-time visitors a focused introduction to Korean antiquities. The existing Visit Seoul listing remains a useful overview.
- Hours: Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–18:00; ticket and information service ends at 17:30. Closed Monday, January 1, Seollal day and Chuseok day
- Tickets: The Korean antiquities permanent exhibition is free. Paid exhibition prices and combinations change; check the live booking page for your date
- Reservation: Individual booking opens 14 days ahead, up to four tickets per person. Walk-in tickets are possible, but waits can develop when galleries are busy
- Stay: 90–150 minutes; add time if a paid exhibition is central to your visit
- Small practical detail: Backpack-size or larger belongings must go in a locker. Non-flash photography is generally allowed unless a gallery or artwork says otherwise; tripods and selfie sticks are restricted
- Maps: Google Maps · Naver Map
Leeum's official visit information, checked August 12, 2026, describes a 100 m main-road approach from Hangangjin Station Exit 1 followed by about five minutes uphill. The earlier Naver route check recorded roughly 399 m from the exit to the museum; the practical point is the same—this is the day's climb, so avoid doubling back.
2. Pace Gallery Seoul — check the exhibition, then keep the stop concise

Pace is only about 214 m from Leeum in the route check, so it adds a commercial-gallery perspective without breaking the line of the day. The existing Visit Seoul listing provides local context, while the gallery's own page is the better source for what is actually on view.
- Hours: Tuesday–Saturday 11:00–18:00; closed Sunday and Monday
- Stay: 25–45 minutes
- Check before leaving: Programs can close between exhibitions. Confirm both the show dates and Seoul hours on the official page
- Maps: Google Maps · Naver Map
The official Pace Seoul page, checked August 12, 2026, lists 11:00 opening rather than the 10:00 carried by the older guide. This change still fits the route: a 10:00 Leeum start places you at Pace after it opens.
Take lunch around Itaewon-ro after Pace. A reservation is unnecessary for the route itself; keeping lunch flexible prevents one restaurant queue from controlling the afternoon.
3. LOEUVRE Hannam Flagship Store — shift from looking to trying on

LOEUVRE gives the route a clear fashion chapter. The Hannam flagship listing covers the building and its current 11:00–20:00 daily schedule. Browse one category you would genuinely wear—bags, shoes or clothing—so the stop remains useful even if you buy nothing.
- Hours: Daily 11:00–20:00, checked August 12, 2026
- Stay: 20–35 minutes
- Useful approach: Compare material, hardware and fit in person; online color and scale can be deceptive
- Maps: Google Maps · Naver Map
4. MONOHA HANNAM — finish with craft, objects and a quieter pace

MONOHA closes the route near Hannam Station. Its current Visit Seoul page, edited July 6, 2026, lists daily operation and describes a mix of artists' craft, homeware, clothing and changing exhibitions. Products and displays rotate, so arrive for the point of view rather than one guaranteed item.
- Hours: Daily 11:00–19:30 on the current listing; check
@monoha_officialfor short-notice updates - Stay: 30–45 minutes
- Route detail: The recorded LOEUVRE–MONOHA leg is about 1.1 km and 19 minutes. Choose a stair-avoiding live route if needed; Hannam Station is about 300 m from the shop afterward

Before you go
- Keep Tuesday–Saturday for all four stops. Sunday removes Pace; Monday removes both Leeum and Pace. Recheck holiday notices and exhibition changeovers the day before.
- Treat the walking figure as a planning baseline. The three recorded legs were about 214 m/2 minutes, 397 m/6 minutes and 1.1 km/19 minutes on August 10, 2026. Crossings, heat, rain and browsing detours add time.
- Know the accessibility limit. A downhill order reduces repeat climbing; it does not guarantee a step-free sidewalk. Use a short taxi for the final leg in heavy rain, high heat or slippery winter conditions.
- Compare the neighborhood first if your priority is shopping. See where to find Korean street fashion before committing a full day.
- Start without hotel luggage. If this falls after checkout, find a nearby handoff at Delivery Spots before taking the hill to Leeum.
