How to Confirm Korean Nail Art Prices Before Booking

A reference photo is not a confirmed Korean nail-art price. Before paying a deposit, send the salon the design and a current photo of your nails, then obtain a written total covering removal, extensions or repairs, charms and 3D parts, design changes and appointment time. Confirm whether the result will be an exact recreation or the artist's closest interpretation.

The advertised number is often a menu category, not the total for your hands. Magnetic gel, chrome powder, hand painting, large charms, extra length and removal can sit outside the base service.

Send enough information for a real quote

• A clear reference showing all ten nails when possible.
• Your nails now, including gel, acrylic, extensions, breaks and large parts that must come off.
• Preferred length and shape; specify full extensions, individual extensions or repairs only.
• The number of fingers needing detailed art, charms or 3D pieces.
• Your date and a time range; complex work needs a longer slot.
• Removal only, or removal followed by a new set.

Menu words that change the total

• 젤네일: gel nails.
• 이달의 아트: “art of the month,” usually a rotating preset design.
• 제거 / 타샵 제거: removal / removal of another salon's work.
• 연장: length extension; ask whether the price is per nail or all ten.
• 보수: repair.
• 파츠 / 추가금: decorative parts or charms / extra charge.
• 케어: nail preparation or care; ask whether it is included.

The boards below show why the menu category matters. One salon can advertise one monthly-art price while another separates designs into tiers.

The official The Sketch Nails post advertised a 39,000 won monthly-art promotion in Hongdae on July 31, 2026. A July 7, 2026 Naver review of Gonggan Nail photographed several monthly-art tiers plus separate extension and removal items. These are dated examples from individual salons, never standard Seoul rates. The useful fact is the structure: label and inclusions matter as much as the headline number.

Define what “recreate” means

A salon may not stock the same shade, charm, decal, powder or gel brand. Nail length and shape alter the space available, and a screenshot may hide the thumb or the other hand. Hand-painted lines and character art also depend on the artist's technique.

Ask: Can you make this exact design with the same parts, or will it be an inspired version? If adapted, request the changes in writing—a similar blue, a flat decal replacing a 3D charm, or the motif on fewer fingers—and ask how each change affects the price.

For monthly art, send the current screenshot with its date. Ask whether color changes are allowed, whether moving or replacing parts changes the tier, and whether the design will still be offered on your appointment date.

Separate removal, extensions, repairs and parts

Removal is not one universal fee. State what is on your nails and where it was done. Ask separately about soft gel, hard gel or acrylic, extensions, large-part removal, and removal without a new set.

• One or two extensions: To even out broken or shorter natural nails.
• Ten extensions: A separate service that can add substantial time and cost.
• Repair only: Reinforcement for a crack without obvious added length.
• Parts: Confirm whether charged per piece, per nail or included in the design tier.

Before I pay the deposit, please tell me the total price, what is included, the estimated time, and the cancellation or late-arrival policy.

If inspection is required, ask for a range and the condition that moves it to the upper end. Save the reply, reference image and deposit terms. Reconfirm before the first nail

Show the saved quote and design again. Confirm shape, length, colors, art fingers, part count, removal type, total and estimated time. If the artist suggests an upgrade or substitute, ask the price difference before agreeing.

Pause when the reply gives only a base price, skips removal, or leaves every extra to be decided later without even a range. A deposit can be normal, but you should know whether it is deducted from the bill and what the salon says happens after cancellation or late arrival.
