3 Seongsu Cafes That Don’t Feel the Same: A Half-Day Route

This route works because the three stops do different jobs: Cafe Onion Seongsu for industrial architecture, Lowkey Seongsu for coffee, and 5TO7 for a made-to-order soufflé near Seoul Forest. The walking line is about 1.75 km. Allow roughly 3½ hours on weekdays and closer to 4 hours on weekends, when Lowkey opens later.

Use a 10:00 start on any day. On weekdays, move through Onion at a normal pace. On Saturday or Sunday, stay longer at Onion and plan to reach Lowkey around its official noon opening. A 75–90-minute Onion stay plus the 13-minute walk can still leave a short wait.

2. Lowkey Seongsu — make the middle stop about coffee

Lowkey changes the rhythm. Its small red-brick storefront is understated, and the reason to stop is the coffee list rather than another landmark interior. Ask which beans are available for hand drip if you want the clearest contrast with Onion.
