Daehangno K-Drama Route: Four Stops to Naksan at Sunset

This Daehangno route links four genuine filming locations without sending you across Seoul: Hakrim Dabang, Marronnier Park, Ihwa-dong Mural Village and Naksan Park. Allow 4–5 hours and begin about 4½ hours before sunset, because the final half climbs steadily toward the city wall.

The map line preserves stop order; it is not street-level navigation, and Google may not calculate a Korean multi-stop walking route. Open the Naver Map link at each stop for live pedestrian directions. The short distance is deceptive after stop two because the route keeps gaining height.

1. Hakrim Dabang — start with the one interior fans recognize

Hakrim Dabang opened in 1956, and its dark wood, portrait wall and LP shelves still carry the visual identity seen in My Love from the Star. The official VISITKOREA Daehangno feature also connects the café with The Heirs. Come for the surviving café itself, not for props or a reconstructed set.

2. Marronnier Park — use the scene, then keep moving

The official Seoul filming-location feature places the yellow-rose meeting scene from Twenty-Five Twenty-One here. The open plaza and red-brick arts buildings are the durable reference points. Temporary props are gone, and the compact park works best as a 20-minute pause between the café and the hill.

3. Ihwa-dong Mural Village — the art changes, the homes do not

Official tourism material identifies Ihwa-dong with Encounter and Rooftop Prince. Murals and small installations are scattered through steep residential lanes, and individual works may be removed, repainted or blocked by later changes. Use the current map boards instead of treating an old screenshot as a promise.

• Hours: The public lanes have no ticket gate and are listed for 24-hour access; choose daylight or early evening because this remains a residential neighborhood
• Highlight: Look for current art along the signed lanes, not one famous mural that may no longer exist

4. Naksan Park — let the wall, not a single scene, be the finale

Naksan's Seoul City Wall appears in dramas including The King 2 Hearts, The Heirs and My Lovely Girl. The route also works when you do not recognize a particular frame: arrive before sunset, see the masonry in daylight, then wait for the path lighting and the blue-hour skyline.

Before you go

• Check the day's sunset and heat or rain alert. In midsummer, moving the start later reduces exposure, but it also leaves less daylight in the residential alleys.
• The final half includes sustained slopes and stairs. Jongno 03 village bus is a useful exit from the Naksan stop when you no longer want to descend on foot; verify its live arrival before relying on it.
• A suitcase turns a compact route into an awkward climb. Read when luggage can derail a Korea day, then find a nearby place to leave your bags before setting out.
