Korean Terms for Your First K-pop Photocard Trade
Learn the Korean words for card condition, proof photos, price, packing, shipping, and in-person trades—and put every agreement in writing.

Your first Korean photocard trade does not require fluency in every fandom abbreviation. It does require a written agreement on five things: the exact card, condition, money, packing, and delivery.
Use the terms below to remove ambiguity, not to sound like an insider. If a seller changes the meaning, avoids a current proof photo, or sends an unfamiliar payment link, stop.
Identify the transaction and both cards
교환— card-for-card trade.교신is often shorthand for a request to trade.양도— selling or transferring for money.구매means buying.WTT / WTS / WTB— want to trade / sell / buy.보유— the card the poster has.구함,구해요, or희망— the card sought.일괄— the set moves as one bundle.낱장or개별— individual cards.우선— priority;차선— second choice;마감— closed.
Do not infer which photo is “have” and which is “want.” Repeat the exact artist, member, release, version, benefit type, and card image in the chat.
제시 asks the other person to propose a price or trade. You can ask for a fixed figure instead: 원하시는 가격이 얼마인가요? — “What price would you like?”
Price words: confirm the number and final total
시세 means a current going price, not an official tariff. The exact card, member, album version, retailer benefit, event round, condition, platform, and timing can all change it. Compare like with like; an album inclusion is not the same product as a limited retailer benefit.
Some Korean posts abbreviate prices in units of KRW 10,000. 0.5 often means KRW 5,000 and 1.0 often means KRW 10,000, but confirm in writing: 0.5가 5,000원 맞나요?
택포— shipping included.택별— shipping charged separately.가격 제시— make an offer.
Ask for the card price, shipping fee, and final total in won. Do not assume whether postage is prepaid or collected later.
Condition: 하자 is not a minor footnote
하자 means a flaw. Common descriptions include:
스크래치scratch;찍힘dent;눌림or압뎀pressure mark휨bend or warping;이염or오염color transfer or stain변색discoloration;모서리 하자corner damage;재단 하자cutting defect
초기 하자 means a manufacturing or pack-fresh flaw. It still affects condition. 미세 하자 means the seller considers it small; inspect it yourself. 하자에 예민하신 분은 피해주세요 or 민감한 분 X means condition-sensitive buyers are discouraged, not that undisclosed damage is acceptable.
Ask for 앞뒷면 빛비춤 영상: a slow video of both sides tilted under direct light. Agree on every visible flaw in the chat before paying or mailing.
인증샷 proves possession, not future performance
인증샷 is a proof photo. Ask for the exact card beside a handwritten note with today’s date, the account handle, and your own handle or a short phrase you choose.
오늘 날짜와 아이디를 적은 인증샷 부탁드립니다.— Please send a proof photo with today’s date and your ID.제 아이디도 메모에 적어 주세요.— Please add my ID to the note.앞뒷면 빛비춤 영상도 가능할까요?— Could you send a reflected-light video of both sides?
An old group photo does not prove the exact card is still available. A current proof photo also does not guarantee shipment. Keep the profile link, full conversation, agreed condition, payment record, address confirmation, and tracking information. A collector discussion about trading without an established history is useful community context, not a guarantee or platform rule.
Packing: name every protective layer
슬리브 is a thin sleeve; 탑로더 a rigid holder; 보강 stiff support; 방수 a waterproof outer layer; 완충재 cushioning.
For one card, agree on a clean sleeve, a correctly sized rigid holder or stiff boards, a method that prevents slipping without adhesive touching the card, a sealed waterproof layer, and a suitable envelope or mailer. Ask: 슬리브, 탑로더, 방수 포장 맞나요?
Tape must not touch the card. Decorative freebies are optional; damage prevention is the obligation. A collector packing discussion reflects community practice, not a postal standard.
The third slider image is from a Korean National Police Agency warning showing a fake page that imitated a familiar safe-payment brand. The case was not specifically a photocard trade, but the method transfers: do not trust a link because its page looks familiar. Open the official app or website yourself.
Shipping abbreviations: agree on the actual service
동시발송or동발— both parties send on the agreed day.송장or운송장— tracking label or number;송장 인증means sharing proof of it.반택— convenience-store-to-convenience-store pickup, commonly called half-price parcel.편택— convenience-store parcel.준등기— tracked Korea Post service recorded until delivery and placed in the destination mailbox.등기— registered mail.일반우편— ordinary, normally untracked mail.
The abbreviation is not the full agreement. Confirm carrier, product, sending date, branch or address, recipient details, pickup deadline, and whether the service is accessible without a Korean mobile number. Verify that tracking becomes active; a label screenshot alone does not prove handover.
Korea Post currently distinguishes ordinary mail, semi-registered mail, and registered services. Product rules, compensation, weight limits, and prices can change, so check the current official service instead of copying an old fandom post.
직거래 means an in-person exchange
직거래 is an in-person trade or sale. Confirm a busy public landmark or subway exit, time, exact cards, defects, and any money before traveling. Meet during the day, inspect both sides in good light, and confirm the card before handing over yours or paying. Do not move to a hotel room, private home, or isolated location.
The Korean National Police Agency cyber-fraud page warns about implausibly low prices and direct-deal pressure. It lets users check phone numbers, account numbers, and email addresses against reported fraud. Its limitation matters: the result covers identifiers reported at least three times in the previous three months, and no result does not prove safety.
A first-trade message to adapt
For a purchase, add the exact price, shipping fee, final total, and payment route. Never move to an external “safe payment” page supplied by the other person; navigate to the official service independently.
Your final agreement should fit in one screenshot
Before a card or payment leaves your hands, the messages should show:
- exact card on each side, including release/version/benefit
- disclosed defects and proof photos/video
- agreed value or final KRW total
- shipping inclusion, packing layers, carrier, and service
- sending date, tracking plan, and what happens if someone cannot proceed
Clear written terms are more valuable than fluent slang. Stop if the other person keeps changing the agreement, refuses current proof, pressures immediate payment, or sends an unfamiliar link.
