Gimpo Airport Luggage Storage: Choose by Pickup Time
Gimpo has staffed luggage counters rather than airport coin lockers. Match the domestic terminal, international terminal or station counter to your pickup hour and onward route.
Gimpo Airport is not a place to hunt for a bank of coin lockers. Korea Airports Corporation currently directs travelers to staffed luggage facilities, and the useful choice depends on when you will collect the bag and whether your route returns to Gimpo. A desk that is convenient at drop-off can be the wrong one if it closes before you return.
Hours and prices below were checked on 12 August 2026. Reconfirm on the travel date, especially for holidays.
Pick the counter your return route reaches
- Domestic Terminal 1F — 05:00–21:00; best when the day ends at a domestic departure.
- International Terminal 1F — 07:30–19:00; useful only when the earlier pickup works.
- T-Luggage at Gimpo Airport Station B1 — 09:00–22:00; often better for a later subway return.
- No return to Gimpo — carry or send the bag toward the hotel, neighborhood or next airport instead.
The three staffed choices are not interchangeable
The official luggage FAQ lists staffed facilities on the first floor of both passenger terminals and says airport coin lockers are unavailable for security reasons. The domestic desk currently lists +82-2-1661-1490; the international desk lists +82-2-2664-9001. T-Luggage lists +82-2-6110-2977 and sits on B1 on the international-terminal side of Gimpo Airport Station. Hours and phone numbers were checked on 12 August 2026; holidays and operations can change them.
Choose a terminal by where the trip ends
The domestic desk opens at 05:00 and closes at 21:00, so it fits an early or later domestic flight better. The international desk closes at 19:00. Do not store in the arrival building merely because it is closest at that moment; include retrieval, the walk or shuttle between buildings, airline check-in and a failure buffer.
Airport-desk charges are currently described as starting around KRW 5,000–10,000 per 24 hours depending on bag size. That is not a universal total. Ask for the price per bag, the charged time block and the latest collection time before handing anything over. Perishable food and live animals are not accepted.
A free terminal shuttle currently runs 08:00–23:00, normally every 12–15 minutes, from International Terminal stop 5 and Domestic Terminal stop 8. It helps when buildings differ, but it should remain a backup rather than the reason to choose the wrong terminal.
Use T-Luggage when the station and 22:00 close fit
The station counter connects naturally to Line 5, Line 9, AREX and the Gimpo Gold Line. Current first-four-hour prices are size- and day-based: small up to 20 inches KRW 3,000 weekday / 4,000 weekend; medium 20–23 inches 4,000 / 6,000; large 23–27 inches 6,000 / 9,000; extra-large 27 inches or more 9,000 / 13,000. The published additional-hour charge is KRW 1,000. Measure with the operator's rule and recheck the live page; a light but bulky bag can price as large.
Delivery is a separate service whose price, endpoint and same-day cutoff depend on the route. Confirm all three and the missed-handoff procedure. Near the station gates, follow the bilingual “Store & Delivery” sign to the staffed storefront rather than searching airport floors for lockers.
Move the bag forward if you are not coming back
For a Seoul hotel, ask whether the exact property accepts luggage before check-in, then use storage near the neighborhood where the day ends if it does not. For an onward trip to Incheon Airport, leaving the bag at Gimpo creates a reverse journey unless your route already returns through this station. Confirm the total before walking away
A community report describes a disputed multi-day quote for several bags. It is not proof that the airport service is fraudulent; it is a reminder that bag count, measured size, duration and storage versus delivery can produce different totals. Ask for an itemized total, keep the claim ticket or receipt, photograph it, save the counter number, and keep passports, medicine, cash, electronics and flight documents with you.
Write down four facts before travel: arrival building, next destination, whether you return to Gimpo, and the latest safe pickup time. Then choose the staffed counter that lies on that route and closes with a generous margin. The real comparison is not “the cheapest locker”—there are no airport coin lockers—but which staffed option avoids backtracking without risking a closed counter.
